It's time to take a pause... Come and Explore the beauty of Divinubo Island
Breathe and Be Captivated by the Beauty of Divinubo Island

These days, life can get so busy that we sometimes forget to pause and enjoy what nature has to offer. If you’re looking for a place to relax and take a break, you might want to visit Divinubo Island, found just off the coast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. The Island bordered by Pacific Ocean, It's a small island, but it offers an awesome experience for anyone who visits whether you're an adventure lover, a tourist, or just someone who wants to unwind.
One thing you’ll notice right away is the island’s clear water and its white-sand beach. It’s peaceful. You can swim, walk along the shore, or just sit and feel the breeze. Do some activities like riding a kayak to enjoy the crystal water. It’s perfect to anyone who want to feel relax and at peace of mind. A great break indeed.
A fun-filled day !π️
I actually come here rarely, but this time, I really enjoyed it. The moment I stepped onto the island, I couldn’t help but smile as I felt the wind gently touch my skin. It was such a memorable getaway with my whole family. It’s also a great place for a group of friends to stay and relax.
We stayed there for one night. When we arrived in the afternoon, the first thing we did was stroll around. I was with my cousins, and we talked about the last time we visited. We all agreed the island is glowing, we just couldn't stop appreciating what we saw. Just sitting by the seashore and enjoying the view gave me a sense of calm and comfort.
Hearing the sound of the waves excited me; it felt like they were calling me in, making me want to swim right away. So I did! We swam in the sea, enjoying each other's company and sharing laughter. Don't forget to apply sunscreen and wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. We also did a kayaking activity. You can go solo or with a partner, but I preferred doing it with someone it's so much more fun to share the experience.

We brought our own food and drinks to save on our budget, and it was a good idea. You can also buy food there if you want something else, as there are a lot of sari-sari stores on the island. You can also buy different kinds of seafood and cook them fresh, which makes the experience even better. Sitting in one of their cottages while eating freshly grilled fish and fish tinola was such a good combo!
What I loved most was how clean the island was when we arrived. The locals were also very accommodating. We enjoyed exploring the unique rock formations and took non-stop pictures with the family. There was one spot I wasn’t able to visit the lighthouse, or "Parola" so make sure you have enough time to explore. I heard that once you reach the top, the view of Divinubo Island is breathtaking. You can enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset. Maybe next time!
As night came, we just sat back and listened to the sound of the roaring waves, sharing stories with each other. My little cousins and siblings started to feel sleepy, so they went to the lodging place we rented to rest. You can also build your own tent there. They also bought an extra mat from the receiving area of the island for 100 PHP and borrowed a rug.I felt so tired at that time, so I joined them. As I lay my back on the mat and closed my eyes, I couldn’t help but smile because I had really enjoyed so much.
I can honestly say this place should be on your travel list, a beautiful island where you can relax, appreciate nature, and connect with kind and welcoming people.
